Granite Point was established in 1921 by the Biddle family and remains under the same family ownership. It is well know for its roughly 3/4 miles of sandy beach, acres of well maintained grounds with natural lawn areas, ponderosa pines, and granite outcroppings, and pristine deep-water swimming areas complete with swim docks and buoys (though no lifeguards on duty). It also is esteemed for its rich history and being a place where families return generation after generation. Granite Point offers many fully furnished cottages for rent, all with lake views, as well as full and partial hook up RV and camp sites. Cottages rent by the week only during July and August, but nightly rentals may be available in the event of a cancellation. The Resort boats several grassy and shaded areas to enjoy a picnic, and also has a well-stocked historical store (with the original gameroom that once served as dancehall for the Boys and Girls Clubs in years past). Granite Point is also becoming respected for a great restaurant with outstanding breakfasts, lunches, and happy hours, along with beer and wine service.
Granite Point is truly a legacy on Loon Lake, and one that is looking forward to having you be part of it.
